Good fit
Choose the Apex Pro Mini if you want to tune actuation by key and use Rapid Trigger for configurable input behavior.
The two-action key feature also suits players who want to map different actions to lighter and deeper presses.
It is a good fit for a compact gaming setup where a 60% form factor is welcome and USB-C connectivity works for your devices.
Its listed compatibility spans Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, and Mac OS X, though Mac software support has limits.
Who should skip it
Skip it if you prefer a larger keyboard layout over a compact 60% form factor. The Mini is designed around a smaller footprint, so confirm that the format fits your everyday typing and gaming habits.

Apex Pro Mini: Compact Control for Gaming
Actuation Tuning for Individual Keys
The adjustable actuation range lets players set different press depths across keys, such as lighter WASD inputs and deeper presses for ability keys.
That flexibility is useful when you want to tailor controls, though it also means spending time configuring the keyboard to your preferences.
Rapid Trigger and Two-Action Inputs
Rapid Trigger ties activation and deactivation to travel distance rather than a fixed point.
Two-action programming adds a second layer of customization by mapping separate actions to light and deep presses on one key, which can help consolidate selected controls.
A Compact Form Factor
The 60% design keeps the board compact while preserving what SteelSeries calls full-size functionality. This makes it worth considering for a space-conscious gaming desk, but the layout itself may not suit buyers who prefer a larger keyboard format.
Compatibility and Setup
The keyboard is compatible with Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, and Mac OS X, and SteelSeries Engine is available for Windows 8.1 or newer and Mac OSX 10.13 or newer.
Some software features are not supported on Mac OS, so check that your platform supports the controls you intend to use.
